I am a girly girl so anything pastel excites me, really!
Now let me tell you my favorite thing about this outfit. I love my pastel shirt with contrast collar that I bought from The Editor's Market. And the skirt, I thrifted it from a facebook store. It was love at first sight. It has the prettiest blue color and it has lace and the best thing is of course, the price! It only costs me 40 thousand rupiah which is about US$4. I thought this outfit would look perfect with my favorite white floral headband, which I also thirfted. Completed the look with a lace white stocking from H&M and ankle strap wedges that I bought years ago at Bandung Trade Centre.

So to sum it up, I love EVERYTHING in this outfit. Wore this to last week's Sunday Service and the first thing my sis said when she saw me was "granny, do you need help crossing the street?" Gotta love sisterly honesty!

Blogged this via ipad since my internet connection has been down. Boo.. Anyway, I am actually really nervous right now. Had a blood test yesterday and I an terrifued beyond belief about the result. I am not going to freak out. I just want to lean to my Jesus and keep repeating in my head that His plan is the best plan for me and you, no matter what the result might be.

Just some pictures from Friday night. Went to Piza E Birra for some chats with dearest friends. Considering not posting this but the skirt just NEED to be shown to the world. Haha.

Anyway, feeling very productive yesterday! Besides cleaning my closet, I also baked red velvet cupcakes. Resulted in 18 of them. But the first batch ended up too hard since I didn't time it right. So in the end I had 12 decent red velvets. It actually tastes pretty good. And it has good texture too. Soft, altho not too moist. Combined with the cheese cream it was like heaven in my mouth. I thought the cheese cream was just that ... Turned out I had to mix it with thick whip cream so it has that hard texture! Mine just looking like a white sauce.. Sad... Overall, I patted my self in the back since it was my very first time to bake anything and it actually turned out edible!

How is everybody in blogsphere?

I feel really pumped right now!! Definitely had too much chocolates. On Monday, I decided to make rhumballs for my family. It made out of crushed cookies, thick chocolate milk, a few spoons of rhum basically just mixed together in a bowl, made into a tiny ball, covered it with chocolate ceres meises, let it cold for an hour or two on the fridge, and voila! A yummy-chocolate-overloaded snacks. I ate 3 already today and it's only 8 o'clock. You can see how it looks on my tweet right here.

Wore this vintage on vintage on my last day in Singapore. I really like taking so much pictures in 4 straight days and I can go being a lazy-bum for the next two week without concerning about taking outfit pictures for my blog. Strange enough, I do miss being self-absorbed and the sound of clicking from my camera's timer. It's like the sound of chirping birds for me. Very soothing and just something you're so familiar of. I know, I'm weird.

I'm excited to go out and meet my friends this weekend. It has been quite some time (a little over a month!) since we had girls night out. This particular song is just the sweetest. I guess everyone can relate with this song. I truly believe that nothing in this life is a coincidence. It has been a slow Sunday and I always feel just a tad bit sad and overall, melancholy on Sunday cause I have Monday to face. And honestly, I don't want to. It will be another week of rushing getting up in the morning, rushed meals, and rushed feelings. Like you don't exactly know how you feel about something but you just have to respond to it already. Do you ever feel like that? You are in a situation. Madly crazy. Madly annoyed. Madly busy. Or simply madly in love. But you just don't have enough time to soak it all in and just left feeling drained. Without ever exactly know how you felt in the first place.

Anyway, the song reminds me to appreciate each single second before knowing your particular someone, when you look into their eyes, you just couldn't found that love anymore. You missed all that love because you are too busy. Workaholic. Or as for me, blogaholic? You keep telling her/him : later; just after I finished this; in a second; that of course, turned out to be never. And that person just suffocating.. It's suffocating to always waiting. It's exhausting feeling not wanted. Hence, take time today, to gather with the one you care most, and just enjoy each other company.

Just some pictures from my latest trip to Singapore. My sister and I decided to indulge ourselves. Good food. Great shopping. Lots of walking. Lots of pictures. And of course, lots of laugh <3

Hope you enjoy these silly and mouth-watering pictures me and my sister took, since we are, silly always-hungry sisters!

The food court was really shady and Ashtons was the only one that looks.. convincing. LOL. We made the right decision!

I had a Midsummer Night Tea. It was.. Something else. I did drank all of it tho!

This lasagna has some tea infused in it. It wasn't bad. And I actually ended up really liking it.. I guess it took time for me to get used to the tea. It was just really really strong! Like a burst of spices and aromas within every bite.

This one wasn't disappointing at all. SO GOOD!

Stayed at Concorde Hotel at Orchard Road.

Went to watch Wicked at Marina Bay Sands Theater. My favorite line is from Galinda "It's good to see me again, isn't it?" LOL. She is just the funniest ever.

Had a sudden crave of sweets before lunch time so we went to High Society at Marina Bay Sands and ate chocolate cupcake and strawberry shortcake for me. Nom nom nom...

Pepper Lunch lunch!

For a five dollar, it was totally worth it. I was as excited as a kid on Christmas morning and touch everything although there are "don't touch" signs everywhere. As I said, a kid!

Strolled around ClarkeQuay area in the afternoon...

Had a Korean dinner at Seoul Yummy. It wasn't THAT yummy tho..

Ended up at Bakerzin to taste their most-famous-of macaroons! Theirs are one of the top 3 I tasted so far *happyface*

For the strangest reason I thought Donkey Live was we were going to saw a real donkey with Donkey's voice as sub. And I was really excited about that. I know.. Too much of a kid for my age!

Went to Charlie Brown cafe at Sommerset 313 after dinner at Botak John's (at Youth Park) to meet up with a friend. And no, there's nothing wrong with fringe at all. *denial*

For the last day, my sister and I decided to take pictures at Istana Park. Located just behind of our hotel. The park is beautiful, serene, and clean and you can see it's so taken care of! I couldn't help but sighing.. Wishing there's just ONE place like this in Bandung..

Had a Victorian lunch at Antoinette at Mandarin Gallery. The place is so darling. A must visit, I must say.

Yes it's quite good but I must say, with the price, it could've taste richer a little bit.. The portion is big! Even my sister and I couldn't finished it.

The ice cream was mango flavored. And I just.. Don't get it. I guess it's too "royal" for us.

Banana Buz is the bezt!

So that's all from me. It's almost midnight here and I promised myself I'll be in bed by midnight every night.

Oasap was kind enough to send me this adorable tosca bag. It's small and it's perfect when I'm feeling like being hassle-free. I supposed everyone agrees that the smaller the bag, the freer you feel. Not to mention it's a sling bag so both my hands are free to do whatever they please. Anyway, Oasap has tons of adorable items and I spent hours drooling on their items. LOL. Feeling a bit forlorn today so I decided to dress up as colorful as possible to lift up my mood. It succeed! I feel super funky in this blue and yellow ensemble. Felt there was something missing so I decided to throw on a pink blazer and tadaa! I'll see you in Funky Town!

I honestly would say a big fat NO to this dress if you asked me two year ago. LOL. But somehow, with unfathomable power, this flowery pattern has found its way to my closet for quite some time.. There's something very feminine and demure about this pattern and that was one of the reason I didn't wear flowery pattern much. I was known as the girly girl, the sweet shy one, and I guess I was just trying to break out of that stereotype.

I used to wear a lot of black, almost no pink, black nails, leather jackets, lots of plaids, lots of oversized tee, baggy jeans, converses, and even a backpack. So that was me two years ago. If you saw my earlier posts, just when I started blogging, you'll see glimpses of my old self. However, as time progress, I realized it's exhausting to deny yourself. So what if I'm a girly girl? Honestly, even in a tee and jeans and converse, I still look girly. I did once want to be cool androgynous looking people. In my eyes, they were the 'IT' girl and only those kind of people who rule the world. I guess some common sense finally hit me and I learned to embrace my true self.

Finally a new post! I was sick AGAIN. I'm not sure what is up with my immune system lately. Not too happy about it tho.. Boo.. I'm starting to take vitamins again and I guess I should stopped being such a nocturnal. Trying my best to be in bed by midnight and can only hope I stop getting sick!

Enough whimpering, last weekend, as I mentioned, I went to Jakarta for a short meet up (actually I had a wedding and a birthday. Quite busy weekend indeed) with my darling friends :)

Me, my sister (from Little Thing About Life), and my friend, Winny from fashion is talking about style decided to get on board with the fishtail skirt trend. Our friends told us we look like we're about to perform or something. I do think so! With our colorful outfit and our different style.. It's fun to see how one interpret a trend! Although, I must say, Winny and I have such similar styling! ;p

Last year, I did a Chocolate Love post where I did five outfit shots with a pink item in each outfit for different setting. This year, I thought it would be fun to create another five outfit shots for your Valentine Day, but this year, will be differentiate with your choice of style. It's fun to play dress up every other day!

(1) Everybody's Sweetheart

Go for this kind of outfit when you want to be loved by everyone. Haha.. Nothing fancy or sexy but definitely chic. Your parents, boyfriend, boyfriend's parents, and even your boyfriend's ex will love you if you dress up in a cute and lovely way. Add your best smile, with a dash of your sweet manner and you are irresistible! ;p

(2) Social Butterfly

Yes, been loving the social butterfly term for a few days.. Be the spotlight stealer with a hot pink dress and bold gold accessorizing. Go unpredictable with red shoes to paved the Socialista status. Be mysterious and friendly at the same time and you are ready to fly.

(3) True Prep

Preppy style is not limited for the A-straights-students only! It's for everybody who's feeling like looking sharp and educated on Valentine's Day. I supposed this kind of outfit will be perfect when you're going on a corporate V-Day event. Or just meeting up with your future parents-in-law for the first time ;)

Go with well-structured dress, a black and white could never go wrong, and to make it even more preppy, throw on a bold pink blazer. Remember, it's all about class, neat, and elegance.

She seems like the girl who give away cupcakes just because it's a beautiful day to bake. I supposed it's similar to Everybody's Sweetheart with less fashionable taste. Go with simple day-dress that's not too fancy, you want to get the approachable vibe. I added a modest yet adorable wooden heels with bows to complete the look. Clip-on bows and you're ready for that heart-to-heart convo.

(5) A Well-Dressed Rebel

Forget pink. Go black and rebellious with all black with leopard pattern for the cherry top. To keep the Valentine theme I wear my heart-shaped sling bag. Be sassy and go against the flow, but don't be bitchy and keep the swear words for yourself. Swear words make you look cheap and uneducated. Besides, it's a day to celebrate love. You can still be rebellious and well-mannered. Actually, I'm not sure that's possible. But looking rebellious sure doesn't mean you have to act like a rebel! Just find the perfect balance of luxe and edge <3

Last Wednesday, my sister and I went to a library-themed restaurant so it's only natural I try my best to dress-up like a librarian. I paired my blue vintage top with a pastel pink midi skirt which obviously, my sister called the teacher's skirt. She told me I look like a new teacher and is looking around at this new library. Went to Olinda to taste Pie In The Sky. It was yummy but I'm not exactly a pie person so I wasn't entirely impressed. From my friend's apartment, we had to take a train for an hour and then another half an hour by bus. It was literally in the middle of no where.. Haha. It has tons of cute vintage stores that sells items from the past.. At least I got that vintage shoes for AUS$10 while we were waiting for our bus :)

These are the last set of pictures from my short vacation to Australia. It's sad to say yet another goodbye to this beautiful country. I love Australia, it has so much ethnicity and you can bump into people from all over the world! Hopefully, I'll soon make a return visit! <3

Lazy Creatures

Went to Tarunga Zoo which was quite a trip since to get there we need to take ferry then a bus. Despite the beautiful and adorable architecture and decoration, I was quite disappointed since all the animals seemed to be hidden asleep and there were a lot of night creatures that I couldn't see :(

Made some changes to the layout.. Out of boredom.. Haha.. Been a slow Saturday!

These set of pictures are my favorites since I have been dreaming to see that legendary row of colorful houses with my very own eyes. Well.. I wasn't disappointed <3

Of course, I just HAVE TO wear something colorful! I have this quirk where I always try to match to my background... My choice originally was orange (next post!) but I already wore it to Olinda. Thankfully, I still have this super cute green top with lace peter pan collar that is to die for.. Slightly exaggeration.. I exaggerate a lot lately.. But seriously, how adorable is a peter pan collar, plus, in lace??!! I keep the bottom simple with high-waisted black shorts.

I purchased this blouse from Love Andalasia and it actually precedes my expectation! For only $9, I was sure that the cutting and the fabric will be a little off but I was incredibly surprised when I tried it on that it looks.. expensive? At the very least, worth more than $9! That's why I love online shopping.. Haha.

Wore my yellow skirt on my first two days at Sydney.

The skirt was gifted from a dear friend and I can't help to remember about her every time I wear it :)

I just love the cheerful color and somehow paired it with white two days in a row. Since I thought it would be sunny and hot in Sydney, all I brought was summery outfit.. But I was stand corrected! I got sun for a two or three hours with strong winds and then it rained for the rest of the day. Not fun at all..

Vacation Diary : Melbourne

Although Sydney was my first love, Melbourne is starting to grow on me.

I don't know. It's cozier somehow. More cafes and old buildings that I truly love about Melbourne.

Not too much pictures I hope. I stayed at my friend's apartment and the roommates (and the boyfriends too, a few times) joined us for the culinary trip which makes it so much more fun! Hence, more pictures I took!

As fun as hanging out with my cousins and aunties and uncles.. Friends make life so much more sweet :)

Wore this cheongsam (traditional Chinese clothing) blouse for a CNY gathering with my family last year. It was so much fun as always. My big family is always such a joy to be around. And I couldn't think of a better way to spend a CNY :)

Unfortunately, this year, although I still spending it with my family, I will be on a plane on my way back to my home sweet home and to my dog, Divo! I miss him like crazy.

I wore it with a simple jeans last year but I thought I do something different this year. It's amazing what a year does to your style preferences.. I don't wear jeans much these days..

My Little Black Velvet Dress

I guess the title pretty much said it all :)

There is a long story behind this dress!!

So I put the order of a Red Velvet Dress size L on 25th Dec 2011. Paid it on 26th Dec 2011 and then confirmed the payment via website. After 24hours there weren't any notifications that the store has received my confirmation. No emails. No text messages. Nothing. I emailed the store in the morning of 27th but until night time, no reply. So I tried to text the store using the number written on the confirmation order email I received on 25th. It said the servers failed. I tried to send the text mssg about 10 times and the results are the same. I tried to called, it's inactive. I seriously thought I was fooled? And to be honest, a little upset. But I refused to give up and then I tweeted the store (ah.. thanks to all sorts of channel of communication nowadays!) saying I put an order and already paid. About 24hours later, they replied my tweet. They said the store is closed (there weren't any announcement on the web or their twitter timeline about the holiday) until 2nd of January but they didn't said anything about my order. So I waited.. Thanks to all the busy-ness of Christmas and New Year I almost forgot about this whole thing until on the 3rd January 2012, I received an email saying my order is on my way. Finally, on 9th January, my order arrived. And it's in the wrong color. And they totally overpriced the shipping fee about 3times than normal shipping fee. I usually paid 9 to 10 thousand rupiah and it will arrives in 2 to 3 days. This time, I paid 24 thousand rupiah and it arrives 6 days later..

I guess it's safe to say that I won't be shopping there again in the near future..

Sorry to burden you with such dreadfully boring story. I guess it happened to everyone at least once in their life. But I decided to stay positive since the dress is in the right size although it's a bit short.. Will definitely add stockings if I'm going to wear this outside the house ;p

When you're reading this, I'll be in the airport waiting for boarding time. I'm off to Australia (Sydney for most time and Melbourne for 4 days) for a little over a week and will be back online around 24th or 25th January. Excited! Do wish us (there are 15 of us!) a safe flight :)

New Adventure

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It's the second day of 2012! How is everybody year so far?

I started the year with my friends and it was so much fun. I am a bit sad that holiday is almost over and all my friends are starting to leave Bandung again to go back to work. However! As the wisest Barney said, "When I get sad, I stopped being sad and be awesome instead." ;)

My friends and I went to Padma Hotel yesterday and it felt like sort of an adventure. The hotel is gorgeous with trees all around it and unlike any other hotel, the floor built going down. So when you press 7 on the elevator, it will take you 7 stories below. How cool is that? It's pretty cool, in my opinion.

This is such a cute dress that when I saw it on the rack, I knew that I need it in my life! The horse prints and the collar are such a dead giveaway, I guess. Although it is in red color, I actually felt confident enough to wear it. The red is not too red, it's sort of a darker shade of red that I didn't bother me much. In fact, the color makes such great compliment to the prints and the collar <3

Risky Business

How was Christmas, bloggers? Mine was simple but lovely. Although Christmas is over, I hope everyone stay in the spirit of Christmas throughout the year. Stay full of love, full of compassion, and never lose the desire to give. You give until it hurts, and then.. you give some more. I think as a Christian, we are obligated to be the person who take the high roads. And we know, the high road is high. You can't get into high places without sweat and the energy wasted to climb.

As for the outfit, a little bird once told me to not mix two trendy items in one outfit. That's why I think my outfit today is super risky! But as the saying said it, "The persons who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing." - Leo F. Buscaglia. So I thought I just go for it!

Animal prints and skirts with tails are hot this season! Or is it last season? I don't really pay attention actually but since you all are so stylish, I couldn't help but notice :)

I always wanted to try this kind of skirt and when I saw it in maroon color, I just knew that I have to have it. Long story short, here it is, safe and sound in my closet. I am completely head over heels with the color and the chiffon fabric. And when I walk, it flows!! Swoon.. I wonder why it took me so long to try this kind of skirt!

As for the animal prints, I always thought I could never pull off any kind of animal prints except in small quantities. Like a scarf or a pair of shoes (will show my leopard shoes soon! <3) but when my mom bought it for me, I couldn't resist. Who doesn't love free stuff? Score! I do feel a little bit like Jane tho! And with the green background, all I need is a shirtless man with a rope and I'm all set! :D

I feel like posing cool today but failed miserably..

I hope this doesn't look too weird for you! I personally like the way it turns out, how the brown in the animal prints seem to compliment the maroon color.

Anyway, 2011 will soon be over. It's the time to look back and reflect on everything that has happened. The following year will be better if we determined enough to make it better :)

Make Me An Instrument of Peace

If you have noted, I've been reading Everyday Greatness by Stephen R. Covey for almost a week now. I just finished Chapter 5 (Courage) but so far my most favorite chapter is Chapter 2 (Generosity).

The Chapter is open with a quote:

“What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?”

― George Eliot

This world point of view is to take care of ourselves and mind our own business. How then shall we help others? A lot of people simply said "oh, but I donated tons of money to XYZ charity". It's not wrong of course, and very noble, but generosity is so much more than giving money. It's also about giving our heart, our mind, and our skills in a way thus might help others. As the book said, Generosity is love wrapped in a work-suit. Yes, often you have to sacrifice something to do kindness. As the sayings told all of us "No good deeds go unpunished."

At the end of chapter, there's few quotes to help us understand more about the topic. One of my favorite is the quotes by St. Francis of Assisi :

Just something I'm planning to wear this Christmas Eve <3

I have been waiting for the Christmas time to use my Decimal shoes. I bought it about two months ago but never had a chance to wear them! Well, once, for a Christmas photo shoot with sis (it will be up on Sunday!) I just love the color and how it add a pop of fab-ness (is that a word? LOL) into every outfit I wear :) It seems to be able to take my outfit to a different level!

This skirt is what I mentioned on my last post. This skirt has that delicate feeling that makes me feel like a million dollar. I just adore the lace and tule, it makes me feel slightly like a ballerina! Although unlike any other kid, my childhood dream was to be a farmer with tons of cute farm animals around me. Surrounded by horses, sheep, chickens, and of course, dogs everyday! Weird, I know.

One of my favorite perfume for 2011. I'm thinking to switching to Marc Jacob's Daisy for next year ;p

A spray or two of this never hurts and always boost my confidence <3

Pink Picnic

I was going to post this yesterday but couldn't find time! I spent the whole day cleaning my closet and gave away 3 pile of clothes with 7 bags and I have one another pile that will go into my store :)

And then it was suddenly 6 o'clock and I completely forgot my mom held a mini Christmas dinner and fellowship until she told me to shower! LOL. It was small and there were only 15 of us but it was really intimate and it pulled me back to the reason why we celebrate Christmas. The born of our saviour, Jesus Christ, instead of about presents and the festivities. Sometimes I do forget and I need something like that to remind myself about the holy reason why we celebrate Christmas.

My dad passed by with his car when I took these pictures. He stopped and laughed. I'm pretty sure I made his day. He hates taking pictures! But his mother (RIP, Oma..) LOVES taking pictures just like me, and I know it reminds him how there's a little piece of his mother stay forever in me :)

I bought the picnic basket for no clear reason (I do that a lot) and thought of picnic by the beach every time I lay my eyes on it (currently sitting on top of my closet). Why beach? I'm not sure. I just miss it I guess. I haven't been to the beach for almost 2 years now, I guess..

I know it's strange to stumble upon my blog and view pictures of all summer inspired outfits where everyone in blogsphere seems to be getting in the glamorous party/dinner mood. Worry not, I just purchased the most fabulous skirt ever (lace+tule) and will show it to you on the next post :)

Going out of country where you are obligated to take pictures without your personal photographer (read : sister) is difficult and a little bit sad I guess? My big sis keep telling me "I feel bad for you. Taking all narcissistic picture alone" when I was showing her pictures of my short trip. It was quite pathetic I supposed but it was actually kinda fun too. Like traveling solo perhaps?

Okay okay, I haven't been blogwalking but I seriously couldn't find enough time to sleep let alone blogwalking... ;(

The good news is, although I still feel a little ghostly, but I am feeling better! Thank you so much for your kind comments on my last post <3

I guess it's just a phase and I do believe the worst has passed. I just need a few more days (and finishing my exams!) so I can get back to my usual self :)

Today has been stressful but I finally found time to pack for my 4days trip to Singapore this Saturday. Again, this blog would be a little quiet. But I do prepare one scheduled post for Sunday so mark your calendar and visit my blog on that day ;p

I talked about it non stop for a few weeks and I'm pretty sure my sis got sick of it since she repeatedly said "just bought the bag already!". So I followed her lead ;p

Anyway. I have to keep this short and sweet.

Although it's weekend, I've been feeling a little bit off.. Like.. I'm not sure actually, but I just forgetting everything and I also been feeling a little.. mm.. lazy? Somehow I just don't have the will to do anything. Even sleeping seems dull to me. After the karaoke night, I do feel a little better but the next morning I'm back to ground zero. Like someone else is in my body and doing all the stuff like talking or eating and I'm just watching my body from afar. Sort of ghostly, I suppose..

Sorry for such dark thoughts! I just don't feel like typing something happy or cute right now.

It is Wednesday and we are halfway through weekend! Yippie..

Is everyone healthy tho? My teachers are sick and even my manager was sick a few days ago! But everyone is all right now and I really starting to think my time is due. I feel slightly dizzy and nauseous now. Lying in bed for a few minutes before heading out for a karaoke night!

I was lucky enough to find this store, Fevelle, where it sells a detachable collar. As you might well aware, I have a slight obsession over peter pan collar. Now that I have a detachable one, my obsession is well fulfilled. ;)

How is everyone in blogsphere?

My internet connection has been down again. Aish.. Seriously, I just don't want to complain anymore. Such a waste of a young heart don't you think? All sorts of nasty feelings like anger, jealousy, envy, and ungratefulness? I am just grateful that I still have my God, my faith, and my family. That is enough for me.

Lately I've been really into poems.. I watched a Korean reality shows where 7 men were required to make a poem. One of them has a 7 year old son with a heart condition and he dedicated a poem for him. Here's a fraction from what I remember..

"Let me be your dream when you're sleeping.

Although I am far away, but I always want to be in your gaze...

Giving you a puppy like you wanted.

Always by your side.

So I can send you away to that place where flowers bloom."

I teared up like an idiot when he was reading his poem. And the fact that his son is in Philippines while he's in Korea makes it even more heart-wrenching. He wants to be by his son but he also has duty to fulfilled in Korea. My only hope is that there is some miracle and his son will be just fine.

Hello, dolls!

So I decided to attend the wedding anyway. It was held in Jakarta and we went straight home after the party so I am slightly sleep deprived right now.. However, I feel like sharing this story to you. I just love the message this story has. Now sit tight and listen carefully..

Once upon a time, a King called his trusty worn-by-age hammersmith and asked him to write something on his royal ring. The King said "Write something that you can conclude from you entire life experience so it will also be a life-lesson for me."

For months the hammersmith made the ring, and even more troublesome, thinking what to wrote in the ring. Finally, after prayers and fasting, he wrote what he thought was important on that royal ring and handed it to the King.

The King read the sentence with a smile, it says "THESE TOO, SHALL PASS"

At first, the King didn't get the whole grasp on what was written in the ring. However, someday, when he was in a deep thoughts about complicated royal issues, he read the writing on the ring, and he was suddenly felt less worried. "These too, shall pass," he repeated in his heart.

At another circumstances, when the King was having the time of his life, he also accidentally read what was written on the ring, and he became humble and contemplated what was around him.

These are all correct. When you are facing a giant problem or when you are over the moon about something, remember this sentence "These too, shall pass."

When you ponder on this sentence, it will lead you to a well-balanced life. Everything in this world is a deciduous leaf. Nothing lasts forever. Hence, when you are in trouble, no need to stress your head out, it shall pass. And when you are on the top of your game, enjoy it while you can, but be humble about it, because that too shall pass...

I purchased the skirt from Nikicio a week ago and I am so happy I splurged! Although it was already at 50% off I still think I spent too much money on a skirt. LOL. However, when I opened the package, I wasn't disappointed at all. The fabric is so soft and breezy and the pattern looks gorgeous, shimmering under lights. Ah love.. <3

And regarding questions about my sister's camera mentioned two posts ago, her camera is IXUS 115 HS. Sorry for the late reply! I've been unbelievably busy lately. Boo..

I will stay busy until tests are over! So many homeworks and recap of chapters I have to do!

Miss blogsphere so much!

I can't believe I've been isolated from the world wide web since Saturday.. And survived. LOL. Apparently, my modem was struck by lightning! It has been raining every single day all day long that my friends and I called Bandung as Forks (yes, that city from Twilight movie with its never ending rain) And earlier today the techie from the modem company finally came and did his magic..

I am well aware that daylight robbery is actually doesn't mean that a thief steal daylight.. But in this case, I think I will implement the literal meaning of this clause. It is just such a quaint term that I couldn't help to use it as the title. The day I took the picture, the light was strangely super cooperative resulting in whimsical pictures! I guess I would say I steal the lights into my pictures cause as soon as I finished with the photo shoot, rain fell!

Back In The Days

Really love spending time with my family.. Teehe.. They really are God's given treasure.

Just some random pictures back in the days.. About a week ago, I guess.. Hope you like these pictures taken by my sis using her digital camera. Her camera has a lot of features and I am super jealous.. I borrowed her digicam like all the time.. ;p That's the benefit of having a sister right? You borrowed and lend stuff all the time you forgot which items belongs to whom.. The questions of "that's mine, right?" or "i think this is yours.. but I'm wearing it already. So.. I borrowed it for today, okay?" are basically our daily conversations..

Unexpected

Good morning, lovely people!

I had a refreshing morning walk with my dog. It is such a nice therapy. Just you, your dog, and the crisp of clean morning air. Of course, exchanging smile with other dog-walkers and joggers make your walk even more pleasant. I had a small chat with a kind grandpa. He's 83 year-old and still do morning stretching everyday diligently! He has 3 cats and was worried my tiny dog will be overwhelmed. Thankfully, my dog is more interested with the kind grandpa than the cats! He praised my dog for being super handsome and super clean (haven't bathe him in 2 weeks thanks to rainy days.. Psssstt!). It is amazing how a small smile from a stranger makes your heart floats to the air..

I purchased this flatforms a few days ago and the first thought came in my mind is to paired it with my maxi skirt. Is that strange? I couldn't imagine a better pair actually.. ;)

The tan color of my flatforms seem to match perfectly with the green on my skirt. I just threw my comfiest loose top to finish it off. It comes out better than I had in my mind. Now can I get tips from you fashionista out there on how to wear a flatform? I can't think of any but dresses and this maxi skirt..

Layered with a leather jacket and this outfit is fall appropriate! It is sort of unexpected for me to wear a leather jacket. Yes? No? But I actually think the whole outfit works. Thoughts?

Little Blue Elephants

I am going out tonight but I thought I post this set of pictures that I took two weeks ago but completely forgetten in my so many folders that just said "set 1, set 2, set 3, and etc.." I'm up to set 15 now.. And when I was just about to delete some, found these! :)

This jacket has been an essential piece to my wardrobe. I love the washed out color that creates such a vintage feel. I wear this item relentlessly that I guess.. the color faded away and it becomes even more washed out but I actually prefer it that way.. And with colder days coming up, I am all set with my denim jacket!

The dress is just super adorable and it has become one of my favorite dress. The length is perfect and the prints.. The little blue elephant prints are the one that made me fall in love in the first place. A dear friend gave it to me as a birthday present. She lives in Jakarta so the fact that she still remember my birthday let alone sent me a birthday present actually brought teary eyes the day I received the package. Worry not, when I see the dress, I was all smile again <3

Hopefully these little blue elephants make you smile as well!

How was Halloween, bloggers? I can't wait to do blogwalking and see all your scary Halloween outfits <3!

I was originally planning to dress up as a scout girl.. Can you tell? But I couldn't find time (seems to be my biggest problem these past two weeks. Time oh time..) to make the sash with the badges and also I couldn't find the hat.. Oh well.. There's always next year. Besides, here in Indonesia, we don't really celebrate Halloween. Which is a huge relieve for me as I am not a huge fan of anything horror-related... ;p

I managed to went there an hour before opening party, (Nidya from Shimmer Bliss was kind enough to send me an invitation for the opening party which with a sad-heart I must declined due to my English course schedule!) thanks to my friend who is one of the tenant there. We sneaked in pass the security.. LOL. It seems there are a lot of gorgeous stores that will drained your bank account. Must keep my shopping-instinct in check!

My friend's store is DemigodDenim and there is also InstaxShop! The couple that owns InstaxShop is the cutest couple there is.. Seriously.. They are the perfect model for the store :)

A Mystical Aura

How is everyone's weekend?

It will ends in a few hour and it made me a little sad. However! Life is not to spend doing unimportant things like being sad. So I put on my favorite songs and feeling much better now :)

When I took the pictures, the air had some mystical aura for an unexplainable reason. The sun. The green green grass. The white reeds among the green which makes the field looks even more mystical. How peculiar. I guess a busy week made me a tad bit melancholic..

The weather was not exactly cold but it was rather windy so I put on a sweater. It matches perfectly with this dress. I am helpless when it comes to matching outfit! Oops.. I also decided to include my camera bag which I just ADORE not only because it looks super cute, but it can also multifunction as a bag. The hideous black camera bag that comes with the camera is very useful but not very wearable.. Hence, when I'm hanging out with my friends, I don't have to bring two bags! What more can I ask?

Good afternoon,dolls!

Oh my.. I miss blogging dearly! I have been preoccupied lately. And although some people think one week is not that long, to me, it kinda is.. My grasp on time is not very fixated though. When it comes to weekend, two days are not long enough! I had a splendid weekend spent with a bunch of my friends. Sushi-ing.. Graduation ceremony.. More Polaroids.. And of course, a good amount of a heart-to-heart conversation.

I got the top from my friend as a birthday present which was over a month late.. Nevertheless, I love presents at any time of the year. ;p

The blouse is so adorable with the tie on the neck and the polkadot pattern. I don't own any red top so this is definitely a nice surprise. I rarely find something in red that I feel obliged to have.. Until I met this top!

Anyway.. Posing in a swing is so much difficult than I imagened! I got 1 decent picture out of 10 blurry ones.. But it was so much fun though! :)

I added an "I'm Reading" widget on my right bar. The reason I added it is because I want to motivate myself to ALWAYS be on the read (is there such term?). You know, I don't want to catch myself not reading anything. Hopefully the widget serves it purpose! Fingers crossed..

So I'm currently reading The Secret Life of Bees. It's my 3rd time reading it, I think. I actually really like the book. It's surprisingly enjoyable to read despite the heavy topics.. If you love the book or just read it or are reading it, I would love to hear your thoughts about the book!<3

The book is really fun to read. I don't know.. As I said, I'm easily impressed. Just wanted to share with you a few paragraphs from the book!

I, apparently, going to spend my Saturday night at home since my mom is feeling a little sick. I feel obligated to help out although my big sis doesn't seem to have that problem.. I do wonder whether our birth certificate is switched or something cause a lot of times I feel like I'm actually a lot older than my age.

So I just finished reading Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit and it makes me wonder if I ever found a spring of mortality.. Would I drink some?

I don't think I would. I am too much of a whimp. And I do believe that is not in God's plan at all. Also.. I hate being left behind. If I ever drink the water, everybody else would have to drink it too! That's only fair, right. But then again.. Living is so tiring sometimes. And I wouldn't want to make everybody else suffers. However, it is fun to play around with the idea of living forever. With all the time in your hand that would never run out.. Just an idea! :)

Readers, would you drink out of spring of mortality?

I bought this skirt on my latest trip to Singapore. I have always been hesitated to wear anything maxi. Mostly because of my short height. However, at only $12SGD, I couldn't resist to try one. I paired it with a loose tee and clogs and added a flower headband to complete the bohemian look. Thoughts? My sister practically laughed and spilled water all over her clothes when she saw me getting out of my room.. She's adorable.

My Kind of Holiday

How is weekend treating you, bloggers?

Yesterday Korean test wasn't as bad as I thought it would be so I decided to rewarded myself today with a Korean lunch! I just got home from a yummy Korean bbq lunch with my friends. We spent 3 hours at the restaurant. There was only one other customer, it was a family, I think. Fortunately, they sat far away from us. So we practically joked around and laughed as if we were in our own house.

Just wanted to give a special shout out to my friends : Chyrel Gomez, Cherie, and Debiparna. They are pretty amazing, you know.

The Woolmark contest is over and although I didn't win, I can't help but being grateful for all the love you have showed me :)

Hello, lovelies!

I have the worst headache due to all this hangul.

It sounds like I studied a lot. Well.. I did open my book for hours.. But not exactly getting anything inside my poor jammed brain. I have the worst focus span ever. Between the TV, my annoying yet adorable dog, and my blackberry . . .

This dress is one of my impulse buys. I added at least 10 items to my closet over the last month.

(So I declare myself on a shopping ban and delegated my sister in charge to keep me off shopping. Besides, what sisters are for?)

And I haven't got the chance to wear even half of them.

I am completely in love with this dress.

I love the color. The prints. The shiny fabric. The color.

The dress makes me happy ;)

The dress is pretty loud for itself so I refrain myself to add any accessory.

Homeward Bound

I am a family girl. I love spending time with my family. And my dog, obviously.

Friends are great. And I don't know where would I be without them. Definitely not who I am today. However, friends come and go. Some stays, of course, a handful precious diamonds that you rarely find, and you treasure them. Keep them in your heart and keep it safe, dear.

Still, let's be honest, if you happened to have an accident (not a big one, just some scratch here and there) who would you call?

My answer would be my father

And when you're sick, and don't know what medicine to take, can hardly get out of bed.

Who would you call?

My answer would be my mother.

My sister.. She is my best friend.

My dog.. Well he is.. Definitely something!

Anyway, that's me with my new short hair!
I continue to emphasized to my friends how short my hair is now. And when they finally meet me, they told me it's not short at all. I was like 'what?'. I mean, try compare it to my last post. Seriously, guys, it's short!
Fine, it's not Victoria-Beckham-short, but still, I have never have my hair this short before.

There this phrase "sesuatu banget" which translated "definitely something" that seems to rose into occasion because one of local celebrity use it to answer some questions during an interview.

I don't understand what's the big deal but it is a catchy phrase and you can use it to answer a lot of different questions that you don't really want to answer.

Yes. Definitely Something!

To be honest, the euphoria of birthday left me after 24 hours. The next day, I feel like I'm on a roadblock.

I feel trapped in my comfort zone and not moving forward.

I want to go out in the world (Korea, for sure!) and just drowned myself in the culture and the language.

Well, it's a maybe.

I am working on my Hangul now. It has been 2 weeks and I am loving it!

It is a teeny wee more difficult than I thought and it is definitely time consuming, hence, the lack posting of my blog! I seriously need to manage my time better.

I wore this when I watched Captain America. I wasn't really impressed.

I assumed because my friends keep telling me how good the movie is, I have such high expectation and when it's only "good" instead of "great", you'll ended up dissapointed. I am not saying you shouldn't have expectation, but you need to learn what a reasonable standard is.

On the other hand, Rise of The Planet of The Apes was incredible. I cried. That's said it all.

This is one of my favorite cardigan because there are lines of pretty ruffles at front!

I have a new year set out in front of me and I wanted a fresh start. So I cut my hair off.
